The Hatton Family welcomes you to Lake  Rousseau Fishing Resort in sunny Citrus  County, Florida! If you  love to catch fish (especially big bass) you have found  an angler's  heaven and a new place to call home. Last year alone, guide reports  recorded 90 bass over 10 pounds caught and released in these waters.  From the  fishing resort ramp or boat docks you can access prime-fishing  spots quickly, ensuring that you get more fishing time on the water. Lake Rousseau  Fishing Resort provides lodging, RV  sites, bait and tackle, a camp store, and  boat slips for your convenience. If you need professional guide  service, we know some of best guides on the lake.

Launching  from the resort,  the dam and spillway are short distances by boat.  Both areas produce good  numbers of largemouth bass, crappie, stumpknockers, bluegill, and catfish. The main  Withlacoochee River channel  travels through Lake Rousseau from Dunnellon to the  spillway. You can navigate the channel upstream to the confluence of the Rainbow  and Withlacoochee Rivers, where the crystal clear spring water of the Rainbow River meets the tannic   water of the Withlacoochee River. The  two  rivers feed Lake Rousseau with large amounts of dependable fresh spring water year round.

Two  miles down river, you can launch your boat at the spillway and head out to the Gulf of Mexico via the lower Withlacoochee, saltwater or fresh, we've got it all. The only thing we  don't have is No-see-ums!

When on the  lake remember: Safety first. Lake Rousseau  is one of the few man made  lakes in Florida and is full of submerged stumps. These stumps provide excellent cover for fish, but can be dangerous when struck at speed, so do your traveling in the channel. Whether it's for a day, a week, or the season, you'll be  glad you came.  Just remember what my Mama always said, "Drive  carefully - precious  cargo."

We recommend booking your  reservation in advance.
